Position: LGV Driver
Location: East Grinstead
Salary: £36,500 (Plus Overtime)
Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours)

LGV Driver Overview:
Operate a variety of LGVs to deliver, collect, and support the setup of generators and associated equipment for customers across sectors (utilities, construction, events, etc.). Provide safe, efficient, and customer-focused service, supporting Rental, Sales, and Service teams at the Depot.

LGV Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safely deliver and collect generators and equipment using varied vehicles (rigid lorry-loaders, drawbar trailers, tractor units, fuel tankers, 4x4s).
  • Load/unload equipment, ensuring correct placement and secure transport.
  • Set up and demonstrate generators, connect fuel tanks, and provide customer guidance.
  • Deliver fuel using tankers or 4x4 bowsers.
  • Assist customers with cable management (laying/rolling).
  • Carry out equipment checks, cleaning, and yard support tasks.
  • Maintain vehicles and yard housekeeping to H&S standards.
  • Comply with Tachograph, Working Time, and ISO regulations (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001).

LGV Driver Experience:
Essential

  • LGV Licence (CE / Class 1).
  • Experience operating large rigid wagons, drawbar trailers, tractor units, flatbeds.
  • Digital Tachograph holder.
  • Flexibility for early/late shifts.

Desirable

  • Lorry Loader licence (ALLMI / RTITB).
  • ADR Licence (Class 3, Tanks & Packages).
  • CPC training certification.
