Job summary

Grundon Waste Management in Gloucestershire is seeking a Class 2 LGV Driver to join our team. This role involves collecting commercial waste from local businesses and requires a strong work ethic.

You will hold a valid LGV Class 2 licence (category C), DQC and tachograph card. We provide training on different vehicle types and offer a driver bonus scheme and ongoing CPC funding.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV Class 2 (category C) licence, Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and digital tachograph driver card.
• Experience with RO/RO, skips or waste vehicles is a plus, training provided.
• Flexible approach and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Collect commercial waste from businesses in and around Gloucestershire.
• Safely operate the LGV vehicle and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs.

Location: Bishop's Cleeve, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, GL52 7DG

Expiry: Thursday, September 24, 2026

Salary: Competitive + driver bonus scheme + fully-funded continued CPC held on a working day

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Working hours: Average of 44.75 hours per week - normally Mon-Fri, 5.45am-3.15pm, plus alternate Sat mornings, 7.15am-11.45am

About the Class 2 LGV Driver role

This is a physically demanding role: collecting commercial waste from businesses in and around the Gloucestershire area.

What we're looking for in our Class 2 LGV Driver

• Valid LGV Class 2 (category C) licence, Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and digital tachograph driver card.
• It would be great if you have experience driving roll on roll offs, skips, front end loaders and waste wheelers, but it's not essential as we provide training on a number of different vehicle types.
• Flexible approach.
