We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Distribution team as an LGV Driver at our Hams Hall site.

Location: Hams Hall, Coleshill, Birmingham

Salary: Competitive

Role Overview: The purpose of this role is to facilitate the company's delivery strategy by driving a Company LGV delivered vehicle, maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety as set out by Forterra. An LGV Driver is also a Company representative and plays a crucial role in our customer service, being one of the initial points of contact.

Physical Requirements: The role involves climbing and manual handling, so good physical fitness is essential.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

• Comply with LGV Drivers Hours Regulations
• Ensure compliance with Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing regulations
• Follow all Road Traffic Act and relevant legislation
• Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and policies
• Complete deliveries as instructed
• Communicate issues to relevant parties
• Drive fuel-efficient, safe, and conscious
• Average of 2 nights out per week
• Perform other relevant duties as requested by management

About You:

• Current LGV license
• Good geographical knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of Health, Safety & Risk Assessment
