Job summary

Blue Arrow in Glasgow is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join a team collecting white goods from recycling centres across the local area. You will work with a driver’s mate, loading and unloading, and ensuring paperwork and vehicle checks are completed efficiently.

Role is Monday to Friday with early finish on Friday, starting at 07:30, and pay is £17.00 per hour with overtime after 8 hours. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply and the employer supports Disability Confident practices.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collecting white goods from recycling centres.
• Work with a driver's mate/second man.
• Loading and unloading items safely.
• Complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service when required.
• Adhere to all driving and health & safety regulations.

Class 2 Driver - Glasgow - £17.00 per Hour

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver based in the G51 area of Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation collecting white goods from recycling centres across the local area. You'll be working alongside a driver's mate/second man, making this a great role for both experienced and newly qualified Class 2 drivers.

Job Details

• Monday to Friday only
• Start time: 07:30
• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
• Friday: 07:30 - 13:30
• £17.00 per hour
• Overtime paid after 8hrs each day £24.75
• Ongoing work with the potential for long-term opportunities

Duties Include

• Collecting white goods from recycling centres
• Working with a driver's mate/second man
• Loading and unloading items safely
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service when required
• Adhering to all driving and health & safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Newly passed drivers are encouraged to apply
