Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company in the UK, is seeking a professional HGV driver to ensure safe delivery of gas cylinders. You will conduct daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and operate equipment such as forklift trucks when required.

You will perform around 15–20 deliveries daily within your designated area, follow defensive driving rules, and adhere to Health & Safety policies. A CPC, ADR Class 2, and LGV Cat C entitlement are essential, with a minimum 2 years holding period for

Qualifications

• Holding an HGV/LGV Cat C licence.
• ADR (Class 2 in packages) is required.
• A Driver CPC is required.
• Knowledge of defensive driving and driver regulations (HSA).
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• High level of personal integrity.
• LGV entitlement held for a minimum of 2 years for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure roadworthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of the vehicle allocated to you.
• Complete daily pre-use inspection check sheets for your vehicle and any specialised equipment.
• Operate specialist equipment such as forklift trucks and cranes when needed to load/unload vehicles.
• Apply defensive driving techniques and follow driver regulations to safely transport gas cylinders.
• Complete approximately 15–20 gas cylinder deliveries per day within your designated area.
• Use safe manual handling techniques when delivering and collecting cylinders at customer sites.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures and operational requirements.

Job description

• You will be responsible for ensuring the roadworthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of the vehicle allocated to you
• In addition, you will complete daily pre-use inspection check sheets for your vehicle, as well as any specialised equipment required as part of your daily duties
• You will, where necessary, operate specialist BOC equipment such as forklift trucks and cranes to load and unload vehicles
• Apply defensive driving techniques and utilise your knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road networks to ensure the safe transportation and delivery of gas cylinders
• Complete approximately 15-20 gas cylinder deliveries per day to customers within your designated area
• You will use safe manual handling techniques when delivering and collecting cylinders to and from customer sites
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for adhering to all Health & Safety policies, procedures and operational requirements

What makes you great
