Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking a qualified LGV Driver C+E for a full-time role based in Crick, UK. The job focuses on safe, timely deliveries to RDCs and depots, loading paperwork, and strict adherence to tachograph and road regulations.

You’ll drive articulated vehicles with minimal supervision and bring excellent communication and planning to the team. Typical hours include weekdays and shifts with a competitive hourly rate, with overtime opportunities and a bonus payable per completed shift.

Qualifications

• You are a qualified LGV Driver C+E with an up-to-date CPC qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience driving LGVs.
• Understand tachograph laws and road regulations.
• Have good geographic knowledge of UK roads.
• Experience driving articulated vehicles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely to RDCs and depots according to the plan.
• Maintain correct load and paperwork on board.
• Ensure tractor and trailer are road legal.
• Fill check sheets and report defects.
• Log defects in defect books and inform the depot of delays.
• Adhere to tachograph and working time laws.
• Act as an ambassador for the company with responsible driving and behavior.
• Drive efficiently with forward planning and fuel awareness.
• Ensure load security and safety.
