LGV C+E / LGV C Dray Drivers (HGV Class 1 or 2) - based Hams Hall

Pay Rate: £40,484 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 04:00-07:00 starts
Location: Trade team, Hams Hall, Birmingham - B46 1TT

Note: These roles involve heavy manual handling of kegs of alcoholic beverages. Previous dray delivery experience is advantageous.

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking LGV Cat C+E and LGV Cat C Dray Drivers to play a vital role in our distribution service.

Requirements

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or HGV Class 2 (C) Driving licence, Driver CPC Qualification, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in dray delivery of alcoholic beverages is preferred.
• Role involves heavy manual handling of kegs and barrels, including deliveries to public house cellars.
• Shift is Monday to Friday, with start times between 04:00-07:00.
• Candidates are required to work a minimum of 6 Saturdays per year.
• Deliver between 10-17 drops to public houses, involving manual handling and working with a driver's mate.
• Minimum of 6 months of on-road HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving experience.

As a DHL Supply Chain Driver, you will contribute to keeping the world moving by delivering goods safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

• Represent DHL Supply Chain professionally with a can-do attitude and a focus on first-time right delivery.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Drive safely and efficiently, adhering to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Follow health and safety standards, including The Highway Code, road safety rules, and vehicle regulations.
• Handle manual deliveries of kegs and barrels to public houses.
• Previous dray experience is an advantage.
