Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV 2 Driver on a fixed term contract. You will drive waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying household bins while contributing to street cleansing tasks. The role is outdoors and involves taking initiative as part of a crew.

Starting early, Monday to Friday, with on-the-job training and access to employee perks. This is a hands-on position requiring safe driving and strong customer service skills in a community environment.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles and collect/empty bins, boxes and bags from householders.
• Perform street cleansing tasks and assist with outdoor duties as required.
• Lead operations with a sense of initiative and contribute to a safe, efficient crew environment.

LGV 2 Driver - Fixed Term Contract

Pay Rate: £16.67p/h

Monday to Friday,

Start Time: 06:30AM

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
