Job summary

Biffa Group in Burgess Hill is seeking an LGV Driver for the AM shift to operate various LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins for trade waste customers.

This outdoor role requires initiative, good time management, and strong safety awareness; you’ll work Monday to Friday, 04:00 start, with overtime on Saturdays and an hourly rate of £16.87.

Qualifications

• Full, valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Previous LGV driving experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins.
• Work as part of a single person crew for trade waste customers.
• Operate outdoors with initiative and focus on environmental improvement.
