Job Description: LGV Driver at Keenan Recycling

Salary: £43,510 + 10% uplift for night work + meal allowance (£5 per day) + £1,000 retention bonus

Start Time: 16:00

Shift: Monday to Friday (48 hours)

Company Overview: Keenan Recycling, part of Biffa, provides food waste collection services for various businesses including restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. We also collaborate with waste management companies, brokers, and councils to collect food waste, which is processed into biogas at anaerobic digestion plants, contributing to renewable energy sources.

Role Overview: As an LGV Driver, your primary responsibility will be collecting and emptying food waste wheelie bins on a multi-collection basis. This physically demanding role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, requiring initiative and a commitment to environmental impact.

Key Duties:

  • Multi-collections of food waste wheelie bins
  • Cover weekend work where applicable
  • Assist with additional duties as needed
  • Hold a Class C Licence
  • Maintain a safe and efficient driving record
  • Own and prioritize tasks, ensuring completion
  • Apply good problem-solving skills
  • Possess good geographical knowledge
  • Work well within a team
