Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Class 1 Driver for ongoing opportunities in Banbury. The role offers a competitive pay rate of £16.71 for the first 45 hours and £20.50 for overtime. Qualifications

• At least 180 days of experience driving a Class 1 vehicle in the UK within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company procedures and regulations.
• Manage your own working time in line with tachograph rules.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks.
• Perform customer deliveries safely and promptly.

Join Our Team: Class 1 Driver / LGV 1 Driver / HGV 1 Driver / CE Driver
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Start Times: Between start times between 0400-0700 for Day Drivers
Location: Banbury
Salary: Day Drivers: £16.71 first 45hrs, £20.50 over 45hrs per week.
Contract Type: On-going and ad hoc
Driving Assessments to take place on Wednesday 6th August 2025.
About the Role:
Pertemps are pleased to offer opportunities for Class 1 drivers to work on behalf of our esteemed client based out of their Banbury depot. Covering adhoc booking opportunities. As a driver, you will report directly to the Transport team and be an integral part of ensuring efficient and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
" Adhere to company procedures and regulations.
" Manage your own working time in line with tachograph rules and regulations.
" Conduct daily vehicle checks.
" Perform customer deliveries safely and promptly.
" Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
" A valid UK HGV 1 driving licence, held for at least 2 years.
" At least 180 days of experience driving a Class 1 vehicle in the UK within the last 2 years.
" A maximum of 6 points for minor offences (no DR or IN endorsements, for insurance purposes)
" A valid CPC DQC
" Excellent knowledge of driver hours and regulations
" Experience with refrigerated units (preferred but not essential)
