Job description
Overview

You will ensure every player receives the guidance and resources needed to successfully balance their academic studies with their football commitments, working closely with education partners to create a supportive dual-career environment.

Responsibilities
  • Curriculum & Programme Delivery: You will design and deliver a high-quality education programme, including sport-specific courses and qualifications, that aligns with the club's standards and supports each player's academic and athletic development.
  • Player Care & Personal Development: You will lead the creation of a holistic player care curriculum and individual development plans, providing tailored support to help players thrive both personally and professionally throughout their academy journey.
  • Transition & Future Pathways: You will guide and empower players to make informed decisions about their next steps after the academy, ensuring they are well-prepared for future academic, sporting, or career opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Ideal candidate will hold a relevant undergraduate degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with a specialism in sport and experience delivering Level 3 Sport courses.
  • Proven track record in teaching or pastoral roles within secondary, further, or higher education settings, and excellence in both group and one-to-one learning delivery.
  • Experience working with elite athletes, proficiency in using presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Keynote, and expertise in developing individual education plans.
  • Desirable: Level 3 Certificate in Talented Athlete Lifestyle Support (TALS) or Athlete Personal Development and Lifestyle (APDL), and knowledge of the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE).

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC Women\'s PGA team as an Education and Player Care Lead as we champion every player\'s journey, on the pitch, in the classroom, and beyond. This is a full-time perm position working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our Melwood Training Centre.
