Austen Lloyd is recruiting for a Leverage Finance Associate at a leading London Legal 500 firm. You will work on high-value leveraged finance transactions, advising lenders, borrowers and sponsors, with exposure to cross-border deals and complex structures.

Qualifications

• Solicitor with banking/finance or leveraged finance experience.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise lenders, borrowers, and sponsors on leveraged and acquisition finance.
• Handle private equity-backed deals, refinancings, restructurings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate facility agreements and related security.
• Coordinate with corporate, tax, and regulatory teams.
• Support senior lawyers on cross-border transactions.

The Role

From a recruitment perspective, this role offers exposure to a broad range of leveraged finance matters, including:

• Advising lenders, borrowers, and sponsors on leveraged and acquisition finance transactions
• Acting on private equity-backed deals, refinancings, and restructurings
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements
• Managing transaction processes and coordinating with corporate, tax, and regulatory teams
• Advising on covenant packages, security structures, and risk allocation
• Supporting senior lawyers on complex cross-border transactions
