Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Level 6 Early Years Practitioner for an Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Putney, South West London. This role involves leading the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, planning, assessment, and managing the EYFS team to maintain high standards.

The position is full-time, 8:00am–16:00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, with a salary of GBP105 - GBP120 (dependent on experience). Start date September 2026.

Qualifications

• BA Degree within Childcare, Early years, Education or the equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Early Years
• Proven experience in managing behaviour and creating a nurturing, positive learning environment
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and best practices in Early Years education
• Experience working with children with SEN and EAL
• Up to date safeguarding training

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Level 6 Early Years Practitioner for an Ofsted Outstanding Primary school in Putney, South West London. This school is a welcoming three form-entry school which has a supportive senior leadership team, is committed to continuous improvement and professional development for all staff. The school is dedicated to providing an engaging and nurturing environment for both children and staff.

This position is ideal for a highly qualified Level 6 Early Years Practitioner with a childcare or early years-related degree. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for early childhood education, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across the Early Years provision. The school seeks someone who can effectively support and motivate staff, inspiring the Early Years team to deliver outstanding practice and ensure that every child receives the best possible start to their educational journey. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent, subject to performance.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years

Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
