Job summary

Network Rail is offering a Level 6 Rail & Rail Systems Engineering Apprenticeship (Signalling) that combines part‑time university study with hands‑on work within Design/Project engineering teams. Qualifications

  • A Levels BBB including Maths and a physical science (Maths/Science subjects).
  • BTEC National Diploma DDM with Level 3 Maths & Physical Sciences (128 UCAS points).
  • EAL Technical Extended Diploma in Engineering Technologies with Further Engineering Maths; Electrical & Electronic Principles.
  • Access to HE qualifications with Maths/Physical Science emphasis (122 UCAS points).
  • Equivalent Level 3 qualifications worth 120 UCAS points including Maths & Physical Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Balance part‑time university study with work experience in Design/Project engineering teams.
  • Renew and enhance rail infrastructure to benefit passengers.
  • Gain exposure to traditional trackside signalling and next‑gen in‑cab signalling projects.
  • Work Monday to Friday in one of Network Rail's corporate offices, with potential shift patterns and site travel.
