Job summary

Junior Sport Stars Limited in Stockport invites applications for a Gymnastics Apprentice Coach. You’ll gain hands-on experience delivering gymnastics sessions at our School of Gymnastics and in local primary schools, with evening and weekend hours in Stockport, Manchester, Trafford and Tameside.

Working with expert coaches, you’ll help with PE lessons, after-school clubs and holiday camps, while developing skills in session planning, administration, marketing and programme development toward

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at 4/C or above.
• Committed to completing Level 4 Sports Coach apprenticeship.
• Eligible to work in the UK (proof may be required).

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver engaging gymnastics sessions in Stockport, Manchester, Trafford, and Tameside.
• Assist with PE lessons, after-school clubs, and holiday camps, ensuring safety and inclusion.
• Develop session plans and assist with admin, marketing, and programme development toward Level 4.
• Support safeguarding and create positive experiences for every child.

About the Employer

Junior Sport Stars has been providing children's sports coaching and development in Greater Manchester for over 18 years. Based in Stockport, we provide a wide range of sporting activities and coaching programs for young people, aiming to help children develop physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport. What we do: * Gymnastics programs for children of different ages and abilities. * Before-school breakfast clubs and lunchtime activity sessions in Primary Schools * Physical Education (PE) support and coaching in Primary schools. * After-school sports clubs in Primary Schools * Holiday camps during school breaks at a number of venues. Facilities Their gymnastics centre in Stockport includes a large purpose-built gymnastics area with modern equipment, fitness facilities, and viewing spaces for parents. The organization also delivers activities at numerous schools across South Manchester. Mission The goal of Junior Sport Stars is to inspire children to enjoy sport, stay active, and reach their potential while making friends and building positive habits that can benefit them throughout life.

What You'll Do

• As a Gymnastics Apprentice Coach, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting and delivering engaging gymnastics sessions across our School of Gymnastics and local Primary Schools in Stockport, Manchester, Trafford, and Tameside
• Working alongside our experienced coaches, you’ll help deliver PE lessons, after‑school clubs and holiday camps, creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment for children.
• Alongside coaching, you’ll develop valuable skills in session planning, administration, marketing, and programme development, while working towards your Level 4 in Sports Coaching and recognised British Gymnastics qualifications
• This varied role provides a well‑rounded introduction to both coaching and the day‑to‑day running of a successful sports organisation, with a strong focus on safeguarding and creating positive experiences for every child

Training Outcome

• Progression into a senior coach role when coaching and a business administrative role for helping driving the business forward and improving everything we do
