Work Schedule: Apprentice, 30hrs
Pay: 10k-12500 p/a
Location: Coventry (Also Covering Warwickshire)

Job Description
- To drive the activity levels of Empowr-U within Coventry, making our organisation a place that young people are engaged with.
- To develop the Empowr-U activity schedule, ensuring that young people that are engaged within the organisation, have a pathway to develop themselves.
- To drive, steer and deliver the organisation in line with the strategic plan and KPI’s set.
- To ensure that Empowr-U values are applied to every session, every project, everywhere that we operate.
- To actively promote our values amongst customers, partners and communities that we work with.
- To recruit, nurture and coordinate a team of volunteers to support the delivery of our programmes.
- To ensure that Empowr-U activities have an environment that children, young people and communities can engage with.
- To ensure that new business and opportunities are primarily influenced by Empowr-U vision and mission statement.
- To promote a culture of keeping children and young people safe from harm (see more in Safeguarding)
- To ensure that the safety, security and welfare of children and young people is kept at the heart of activity delivery, and is never compromised.
- To promote a culture of Keeping Children safe through the Empowr-U sessions, workforce, and members, ensuring that this is within the design of project plans.
- To use feedback from activities to inform our organisation about improving our practice, giving young people in Coventry a voice, and an opportunity to influence policy and practice.
- Delivering training for staff on behalf of Empowr-U, and mentoring staff to become effective in their roles.
- Undertake the necessary training and CPD opportunities to improve the outcome and efficiency of resources.
- Communication, coordination, and logistics of to increase quality of delivery.
- Identify business opportunities, gaps in the market or perceived needs of potential users.
- Preparing equipment and session layout.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with Empowr-U workforce, clients and partners, as well as maintaining a professional public image.
- A positive, forward-thinking approach to equal opportunities, reducing barriers to participation and inspiring people with varying abilities, from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Lead in activity development, personal development and character development of 8-25 year olds.
- Undertake the necessary CPD opportunities, in order to fulfil and improve current requirements and standards of delivery.
- Plan, Promote, Deliver and Evaluate our Empowr-U Activity sessions in Coventry and Warwickshire.
- Support the management/development of all staff, apprentices, trainees and volunteers.
- Lead or Assist with Empowr-U events and projects, dependent on the nature of the event.
- Support the positive development and publicity of Empowr-U.
- Agree to abide by a code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with Empowr-U policies and procedures; including equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety at work etc.
- Ensure that all activities are delivered to the very highest standards.
- To follow excellent safeguarding practice at all times.
- To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time commensurate with the grade of the post.
- Follow excellent timekeeping, communication and programme delivery routines, necessary to the maintenance of the programmes.
