A supportive primary school in Wakefield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting from September 2025.
This is a full-time, term-time role working closely with the class teacher to support early development, learning, and wellbeing at a crucial stage in each child’s education.
Provide classroom support across EYFS, including 1:1 and small group interventions
Promote communication, language, and personal development through structured and play-based learning
Assist with observation, record keeping, and preparation of learning resources
Support routines including phonics, snack time, and outdoor play
Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels safe and supported
Holds a Level 3 TA or Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
Has experience working within an EYFS setting
Understands the EYFS framework and principles of child-led learning
Is calm, positive, and confident supporting children with varying needs
Communicates effectively with children, staff, and parents
