Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision

Location: Stockport, SK2

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Salary: £95.00 - £110.00 Per day

Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Skills: Behaviour Management, SEN Experience

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Offer reading and writing support to students who require additional assistance
  • Support the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging positive behaviour
  • Provide 1:1/group interventions
  • Monitor students' progress
Required Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
  • Prior experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or similar role
  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour and SEN
  • Alternation Provision experience is ideal
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of young people with behavioural difficulties and SEN
  • Excellent behavioural management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
  • Familiarity with alternative provisions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN) support
  • Training in behaviour management techniques
