Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Level 3 Early Years Educators for immediate and ongoing placements in Barnet (Outer London). Roles are available full-time or part-time in Nursery and Reception, with salary £22,000 - £26,000 pro rata and weekly PAYE.

You will plan and deliver stimulating, play-based learning in line with EYFS, lead the room, observe and track development, and liaise with families while supporting SEND/EAL needs under the SENCO guidance.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.
• Solid hands-on experience in an EYFS setting, ideally Nursery or Reception.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and Development Matters.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver play-based learning in line with EYFS.
• Carry out observations and assessments to contribute to learning journeys.
• Liaise with parents and carers and support SEND/EAL inclusion under SENCO guidance.
• Take a lead role within the room alongside practitioners and class teacher.

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is working with welcoming, well-resourced primary schools across Barnet to find experienced Level 3 Early Years Educators for immediate and ongoing placements in Nursery and Reception settings. Roles are available on a full-time or part-time basis.As a Level 3 Early Years Educator, you will plan and deliver stimulating, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS statutory framework, supporting children's development across all seven areas of learning. You will take a lead role within the room, working alongside other practitioners and the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing and language-rich environment where every child can thrive.You will carry out observations and assessments using Development Matters, contribute to children's learning journeys, liaise with parents and carers and support the identification and inclusion of children with SEND and EAL needs under the guidance of the SENCO.

What we are looking for

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 3, BTEC National, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) - essential
• Solid hands‑on experience working in an EYFS setting, ideally Nursery or Reception
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters
• Confident in planning and delivering play‑based, child‑led learning across all seven areas
• Skilled in early years observation and assessment, including learning journeys and progress tracking
• Experience supporting children with SEND and EAL in an early years context
• Warm, patient and professional with excellent communication skills for working with children, families and colleagues
• Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge
