Job summary

Cover People are recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Salford on a long-term basis, with ASAP start.

You will work alongside teachers to support learning across the primary curriculum, assisting pupils with varying abilities and attending to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a primary school.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and deliver targeted interventions.
• Providing additional assistance to pupils who require help accessing the curriculum.
• Supporting children with SEND and adapting activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Helping maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom routines.
• Preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
• Monitoring pupil engagement and progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
