Job summary

Cover People are recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Salford on a long-term basis. You will work alongside teachers to support learning across the primary school, helping pupils develop knowledge, confidence and independence.

The role involves delivering engaging lessons, working with individuals and small groups, supporting pupils with a range of abilities, and contributing to a safe, welcoming classroom environment. DBS checks and safeguarding procedures apply.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working in a primary school.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted interventions.
• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and maintaining focus.
• Support pupils with SEND and adapt activities to meet learning needs.
• Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Prepare learning materials and resources and monitor pupil progress.
