Job Title: Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant – Gateshead
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £89–£108 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September start

We’re on the lookout for a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a nurturing and inclusive setting. If you’ve got a heart for helping, a head for strategy, and the kind of patience usually reserved for puzzles with missing pieces—this one’s for you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • 1:1 support for children with complex SEND needs (including autism, ADHD, and sensory processing)

  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists

  • Helping pupils access learning, regulate emotions, and build trust

  • Creating a structured, safe, and positive space to thrive

You’ll need:

  • Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)

  • Experience working in a SEND or mainstream setting

  • A calm, caring, and proactive approach

  • DBS on the update service (or we’ll help you apply)
