Job description

Level 3 Play Therapist – Empowering Children Through Play

Location: Henley-on-Thames
Salary: £21,170 per annum + (pro-rata to 39 weeks - dependent on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time (08:30am - 3:30pm)| Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Play Therapist to join our team. In this Henley-on-Thames role, you will use play-based techniques to help children make sense of difficult life experiences and complex psychological issues. Your work will be instrumental in improving their mental health, emotional well-being, learning capabilities, and social relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage directly with EYFS children and young people to address their psychological and emotional needs through play therapy sessions.
  2. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop comprehensive therapeutic plans.
  3. Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports for external agencies and school evaluations.
  4. Plan and deliver training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding of children's behaviours and therapeutic approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent in childcare.
  2. Proven experience working with children, particularly those with emotional or behavioural challenges.
  3. Strong understanding of child development and the ability to apply therapeutic play techniques effectively.
