To enhance children's enjoyment of play, promote good behaviour, organise and lead activities, and teach children how to play, including setting up team games, encouraging appropriate use of equipment, and promoting fair play.

£88.92 - £95 per day (pro rata; salary dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The role

Vision for Education is recruiting a Level 3 Play Leader to join a primary school in Leeds to start ASAP or September 2025 on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will preferably hold a relevant Level 3 qualification and have recent experience in a primary school. Your responsibilities will include enhancing children's enjoyment of play, promoting good behaviour, organising and leading activities, and teaching children how to play. This includes setting up team games, encouraging appropriate use of equipment, and promoting fair play. You will also provide wrap-around care in the breakfast club and after-school club, working hours from 07:30 - 09:00 and 15:00 - 18:00 daily. This is a long-term role.

  • Experience working with primary school-aged children
  • Ability to promote good pupil behaviour, handle conflicts promptly, and encourage responsibility
  • Genuine desire to be part of a supportive team
  • Experience supporting development and implementation of behaviour/SEND plans for targeted pupils
