Job summary

Harrow Gate Primary Academy, part of the Enquire Learning Trust, is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for its Early Years team in the nursery. The work centers on play-based learning, supporting children's communication, early reading, writing and number, and observing children to plan their next steps.

You will need a Level 3 Early Years qualification and experience in Nursery or Reception, with an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification required.
• Experience in Nursery or Reception.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Willingness to support children with SEND and additional needs.
• Ability to work with colleagues, parents and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning through play, exploration, talk and purposeful activities.
• Develop children's communication, early reading, writing and early number skills.
• Observe children to identify interests and next steps.
• Provide targeted support for children with SEND and additional needs.
• Support children's personal care, independence and positive behaviour.
• Contribute to the wider life of the academy.
