Abbott Diabetes Care, Witney (Oxfordshire), has a clear vision for its sensor technology business, taking it into high-volume manufacture. At ADC Witney, we develop and manufacture technologies used in diabetes management, including the next-generation sensor technology used in the revolutionary FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring system. We are expanding and have exciting opportunities for individuals eager to start a career in engineering.

We are looking for keen, enthusiastic, and driven individuals who want to begin their engineering careers through an apprenticeship. Successful candidates will start their Advanced Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, in September 2025.

This program involves block release study periods at our carefully selected training provider’s facility, where you will learn essential engineering skills such as machining, bench fitting, and electrical fundamentals. You will also spend time on-site in Witney, rotating through relevant Operations departments, including Operations Engineering, Quality Assurance, Engineering Support Group, Systems Engineering, maintenance, and facilities. Our apprentices will have the opportunity to qualify at Level 4 by completing a HNC in Engineering (covered in Years 3 and 4).

As an Abbott apprentice, you will receive ongoing support for your career development, including additional qualifications where relevant. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you can expect a role aligned with your skills and interests that meets business needs.

Requirements:
