Overview

Early Years Practitioner Level 3 - Full Time - East Dulwich, SE22 - £29,958 per annum + sector leading benefits. There is also a 4 day week option available (Mon-Thur or Tue-Fri).

We are the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF), a charitable social enterprise running 40 nurseries in London. We are committed to equal education and care for all children and aim to give them the best start in life. 100% of our nurseries are Ofsted-rated Outstanding or Good.

Gumboots Nursery and Pre-School (Ofsted-rated Good) provides Early Years Education and Care to children from birth to 5 years old. We are located at 171-173 Crystal Palace Rd, East Dulwich, SE22 9EP, close to East and North Dulwich stations, with access to free off-street parking. Our setting offers a varied curriculum including activities such as baking, Zumba, gardening, and trips within the local community.

If you’re a Level 3 or above Qualified Early Years Teacher, this role supports you as a teacher within LEYF, though you may see it referred to as Nursery Practitioner in other Early Years settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Early Years Education and Care to children from birth to 5 years old.
  • Deliver a varied and stimulating curriculum in line with LEYF’s teaching model.
  • Create engaging learning experiences (e.g., baking sessions, outdoor activities, community trips) tailored to each child’s learning needs.
  • Support safeguarding and welfare to ensure a safe environment for children.
What we look for
  • Level 3 or above childcare qualification that is full and relevant for the Early Years sector, to count in legal Nursery Practitioner ratios.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Evidence of ability to protect and safeguard children and a passionate, imaginative approach to providing high-quality Early Years education.

  • Salary of £29,958 per annum for full time, 40 hours per week. Option to split shifts over 4 or 5 days.
