Job summary

Rook's Nest Academy invites applications for a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant who is passionate about giving children the best start in education. You will work with the Early Years team to support learning, development, wellbeing and independence through play and structured activities.

The role requires a caring, patient and reliable individual with strong teamwork and communication skills, able to observe and record progress and contribute to safeguarding and inclusion in a nurturing

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
• Understand the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Ability to support children's communication, language, physical, personal, social and emotional development.
• Provide engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences through play and structured activities.
• Support observation, assessment and recording of children's development.
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and safeguarding.
• Communicate professionally with parents, carers, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development, wellbeing and independence through purposeful play, planned activities and positive interactions.
• Work closely with the class teacher and the wider early years team to support children's learning, development, wellbeing and independence.
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and safeguarding.
