Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery in Gloucester. You will support children’s learning through play, plan age-appropriate activities and foster their social and emotional development in a safe, stimulating environment.

The role requires an Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification, strong EYFS knowledge, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare is essential.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Previous experience in an early years or nursery setting is desirable.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through play, exploration and engaging activities.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development.
• Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and help them develop confidence and independence.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide a consistent and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers and communicate effectively regarding children’s progress.
• Ensure the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children at all times.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of care.
• Observe and support children’s development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment.
