Main responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
2. Providing a range of activities that ensure children learn while having fun.
3. Assisting the facility in meeting OFSTED requirements, which will also benefit the Childcare Apprenticeship.
4. Being a team player.
5. Providing challenging and stimulating activities appropriate for all children to meet Apprenticeship requirements.
6. Participating in First Aid training as required.
7. Undertaking training to meet changes in Apprenticeship Standards or legal requirements within the childcare setting.
8. Ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
9. Promoting equal opportunity in service delivery and management.
10. Collaborating with teams across the nursery.
11. Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for children.
12. Preparing food for breakfast, snacks, and afternoon tea.
13. Supporting children’s self-help needs.
14. Being creative and enthusiastic.
15. Following safeguarding rules and regulations to meet the standards of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
