Duties include:

1. Working chairside with a dentist/hygienist in a busy dental practice.
2. Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times in the surgery.
3. Maintaining professionalism at all times.
4. Ensuring good communication with patients and staff.
5. Making patients feel at ease and comfortable.
6. Innovating ideas and initiating actions to improve the overall perception of the practice, ensuring its good reputation.
7. Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort in all facilities.
8. Being aware of health & safety issues within the practice, implementing and assessing procedures, and addressing unsafe practices.
9. Ensuring all parts of the practice are safe and secure when not in use.
10. Covering duties of other staff members as required.
11. Undertaking any other duties necessary for the smooth operation of the dental practice.
12. Portraying a professional and positive image of the dental practice, including wearing the provided uniform while on duty.
13. This apprenticeship is work-based, so most of your time will be spent working at the employer's premises. You will attend college at Nottingham College City Hub Campus one day every two weeks for training.
