Duties include:
- Working chairside with a dentist/hygienist in a busy dental practice.
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times in the surgery.
- Maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Ensuring good communication with patients and staff.
- Making patients feel at ease and comfortable.
- Innovating ideas and initiating actions to improve the overall perception of the practice, ensuring its good reputation.
- Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort in all facilities.
- Being aware of health & safety issues within the practice, implementing and assessing procedures, and addressing unsafe practices.
- Ensuring all parts of the practice are safe and secure when not in use.
- Covering duties of other staff members as required.
- Undertaking any other duties necessary for the smooth operation of the dental practice.
- Portraying a professional and positive image of the dental practice, including wearing the provided uniform while on duty.
- This apprenticeship is work-based, so most of your time will be spent working at the employer's premises. You will attend college at Nottingham College City Hub Campus one day every two weeks for training.
