Level 3 Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship Bemo Tunnelling UK Ltd

BEMO has over thirty years of experience in the UK market with expertise in SCL tunnelling secondary lining works and TBM tunnelling. We are a company specialised in the construction and refurbishment of civil engineering structures of all kinds with a particular focus on tunnelling. We also have an inhouse design and engineering support department for many types of temporary and permanent works design. Our highly qualified committed team supported by outstanding past performance positions us as an internationally recognised leader in the field of tunnel construction.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as an Accounts Assistant Apprentice.

Apprenticeship Summary:

Salary: 8.50 an hour

Working Week: Monday to Friday 8am 5pm including a 1 hour break

Hours: 40 hours per week

Online apprenticeship training supported by our skilled tutors

Level 3 Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification

Location: Chillingworth Road London N7 8QJ

The Role:

The role will be based at our project offices near The Monument in central London. Youll support a small finance team of three gaining handson experience in managing the finances and accounts for a largescale tunnelling project.

Key Responsibilities Summary:

Provide support to the Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager by handling payments tracking costs and managing project documentation

Assist with subcontractor payments (labour agency plant and operators)

Validate and process material and waste disposal records for payments

Keep project cost sheets and subcontractor trackers up to date

Maintain a billing tracker for directly employed workers

Raise credit notes for subcontractors when needed

Support QS team with administrative tasks

Upload documents to Asite (project data platform)

Monitor purchase order (PO) values and coordinate with the finance team

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have the following:

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5 9) Desirable

GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 5 9) Desirable

Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word and Outlook).

A reliable hardworking and motivated individual with a strong interest in future opportunities that involve working away from home.

Adaptable to new environments and eager to take on new challenges.

A travel allowance will be paid to cover your travel costs to the office

Training and Development:

As an apprentice you will receive support through both onthejob learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include:

Study towards a relevant qualification Level 3 Assistant Accountant Diploma.

Onthejob training and mentoring from experienced professionals.

Regular review meetings to track progress and development.
