Permanent Level 2 Teaching Assistant's - 27 1/2 Hours - 39 weeks per year.

I would like to thank you for your interest in our exciting roles as Teaching Assistant's – Supporting and Delivering Learning at Ysgol Cwm Brombil within the Secondary Phase, the all-through school which serves the community of Margam and the Afan Valley in Port Talbot.

The Permanent Teaching Assistant's Posts are available within the Secondary Phase . These post will commence on 1st September 2025 or as soon as possible.

This is an incredibly exciting and important time for the educational provision for Port Talbot and this is a key appointment for the school. The post holders will have responsibility for a specific brief and will have opportunities to broaden their experiences by working with an innovative and professional group of staff. We are looking for an outstanding person who can work with us to see the realisation of our shared vision for the pupils, staff, parents/carers and the wider community. We are aspirational for our pupils and we will encourage them to aspire, believe and achieve so that they are able to leave school with success and value. We are determined to ensure that the learning experience will be vibrant, exciting, and fully inclusive and will provide a truly all-through provision.

We also have the same aspirations for our staff and will ensure high quality continuing professional development, to grow excellent practitioners and leaders, as well as creating opportunities for career development.

The governors are seeking to appoint an excellent and highly dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant's who are:

- Committed and passionate about learning and teaching.

- A creative and inspirational thinker with lots of innovative ideas to share.

- An excellent team member with a positive attitude and a sense of humour.

- An effective motivator of children and their learning.

- Committed to developing children as independent learners and thinkers.

- Willing to contribute to whole school development.

- Confident to use their own initiative

The successful candidate must be either qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, or equivalent.

The appointee will work closely with both staff and pupils to lead and inspire others to support the development of the new school and make the vision a reality. The posts will commence as soon as possible.

This post will be for 27 1/2 Hours for 39 weeks per year on Grade 3 (sp3 £15,428.70 - sp5 £16,427.48)

The closing date for applications is 12.30 pm on Friday, 11th July, 2025. Shortlisting will take place the following week with interviews following shortly after.
