Job summary

Huntingdonshire District Council is seeking qualified swim teachers to deliver high-quality lessons at our leisure centres. You’ll inspire swimmers of all ages, create fun and engaging sessions, and contribute to a supportive team.

Applicants should hold Swim England or STA Level 2, have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Flexitime may be available to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• A recognised swimming teaching qualification (Swim England or STA Level 2).
• A passion for teaching and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build rapport with swimmers and parents.
• This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
• An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities.
• Create engaging, supportive and progressive sessions to build confidence in the water.
• Ensure safety and maintain equipment and records as required.
