Job description

Level 2 position, based in the Complex Care Team.

We are excited to offer a Level 2 social worker position within the Complex Care Team, based at The Woolwich Centre, reporting to a Deputy Team Manager.

As a Level 2 social worker, you will actively support the team, working closely with health and social care colleagues. This key role requires recent experience in a complex care service. You should have experience supporting staff and managing conflicting priorities as a duty worker, providing advice to reduce risks, maintain client safety, and ensure a strength-based approach. You will provide support and guidance in case discussions, approve completed work, and ensure cost-effective care. The role involves regular liaison with health and social care professionals, housing, environmental health, and health providers.

A crucial part of this role is working with Commissioning, RBG, Oxleas, and the CCG to ensure safe and effective pathways, and identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for residents. This position offers the chance to develop professionally within social care and contribute to national initiatives.

We seek someone eager to develop their skills across practice and management, with an understanding of the interface between social care and health, knowledge of system pressures, and experience working with health partners. The candidate should be motivated, passionate about excellent service delivery, and interested in strengthening the social care framework.

You will hold a caseload, supervise social workers or assessors, and lead in an area of interest as decided by the team manager.
