Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking two enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join a mainstream secondary school in Bolton. You will support pupils across Years 8 to 11, helping with academic and personal development and working alongside subject teachers.

The role is full-time with long-term prospects and potential permanent contracts for high performers. You will engage with teenagers, deliver targeted interventions, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSE English and Maths grade C or above.
• Experience with secondary-aged students (Year 8–11).

Responsibilities

• Prepare resources and learning materials for Years 8–11.
• Collaborate with teachers to run activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support pupil welfare and monitor progress with staff.
• Work with full classes, groups, and one-to-one where needed.
• Track pupil engagement and support academic and behavioural progress.
