Job description

Course Cost: Free if the candidate is registered as unemployed and over 24 years of age, lives in the Bristol area.

Programme Includes:

  1. Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Railway Engineering Track Maintenance.
  2. Level 2 Certificate in Railway Engineering Underpinning Knowledge.
  3. Safety Critical Training - PTS, TIC, OLEC1 and DCCR.
  4. Network Rail Approved Drug, Alcohol and Medical Screening.
  5. Hand tools / Small Plant training and assessment.
  6. Sponsorship/Sentinel Registration.
  7. Network Rail E-Learning.
  8. Exclusive access to our Online Learning Portal.
  9. All training conducted by Industry Experts.
  10. Meet and greet with employer.

Programme Duration: 5 Days per week for 34 days + 10 days Safety Critical Training, Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm.

Course Overview:

This qualification has been developed to provide participants with underpinning knowledge and related practical skills within a track maintenance environment, along with practical experience and expectations of the situations that could be faced in the rail maintenance job role. It covers knowledge and understanding of a broad range of maintenance competencies and has been developed to ensure that it meets the needs of the rail engineering sector.
