Job Description

Position: Level 2/Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Liverpool, L6

Start Date: 24th February 2025

Contract Type: Full-time (covering maternity leave)

Duration: Until the end of the year

Pay: Paid to scale

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Support the development and learning of each child, observing and recording their progress.
  • Help manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on children’s progress.
  • Maintain a positive and nurturing relationship with all children.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team.
Requirements
  • Level 2/3 Early Years Educator Qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education).
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • A patient and caring attitude with the ability to build positive relationships.
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide a minimum of two professional references.
