Job description

An infant school is a welcoming and inclusive setting located in the heart of Wolverhampton. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. As part of their continued growth and commitment to early years' excellence, they are seeking a passionate and qualified Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join their team in September.

As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner, you will be based in the Pre-School Room, working closely with a small group of key children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the learning and development of your key children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities that help children meet their weekly developmental targets.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintaining accurate records and observations to track progress.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A Level 2 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a nursery, pre-school, or early years setting.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
