Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in England is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with identified needs, enabling access to learning and achievement of targets. You will work under teachers and senior staff to support learning and create an inclusive classroom and pastoral environment.

The role requires experience with children in education, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Good understanding of pupils' learning and development needs.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and supporting wellbeing of all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with identified additional needs to access learning and achieve targets.
• Support pupils with learning in classroom and pastoral settings, including small group work.
• Assist with routine medical needs in line with healthcare plans and school policies.
