Level 1 Teaching Assistant (E7248) - Whingate Primary School

Whingate Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teaching Assistant who would like to join a friendly, dynamic school where all can thrive and staff are highly valued.

Working in Foundation Stage;

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have a calm and nurturing attitude
  • Be able to make learning fun and interactive
  • Be able to facilitate children’s learning in both 1:1 and small groups
  • Have experience (or be willing to undertake training) working with children with a range of additional needs
  • Be able to share information and have professional communication with the class teacher
  • Have an understanding of how provision in Early Years works

Ideally, you will have skills and experience and be a professional who is versatile, enthusiastic, resilient, and able to provide a solution-focused approach to securing the best possible outcomes for all children.

We are a larger than average school with 470 pupils on roll and 6 members of staff with very low staff turnover, so it is especially exciting to have the opportunity to recruit a new member of staff to join the team.

We pride ourselves on our happy children who love coming to school. Our staff team takes pride in building positive relationships with children and their parents/carers to support all children to achieve their learning goals and fulfill their potential.

You must already have experience of supporting children in a primary school. Further necessary training will be provided.

Position 1 Hours of Work: 30 hours over Monday-Friday, term time only.
