Key Responsibilities
  • Rigorous and quality-driven onboarding process with a 3-month period before sign-off to enable independent work.
  • Proactive actions to ensure SLAs and KPIs are achieved.
  • Regular documented updates with clear status, descriptions, and actions in Service Now, Jira, and other platforms.
  • Handle incidents and changes as part of daily activities, following predefined steps for quality closures.
  • Prepare changes with testing, communication, and documentation toward successful closure.
  • Participation in Service (EiS) activities and project implementations to assist colleagues.
  • Monitor alerts daily, applying knowledge and response skills for quick action.
  • Escalate to colleagues when in doubt and seek guidance as needed.
  • Review and update documentation in tools like Confluence with diligence.
  • Equipment installation, configuration, implementation, and decommissioning.
  • Assist with “make good” and tidy-up activities to deliver a final customer-facing environment.
  • Support stock management and inventory updates with accuracy.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements at site(s) and participate in cross-country collaboration as needed.
  • Participate in meetings via Google, MS Teams, and other tools, including customer-facing meetings when required.
  • On-duty in a rota of 1 in 3 weeks over a 7-day week.
  • Provide input on areas for improvement for self and colleagues.
  • Other job specifications include detailed vetting to gain security clearance (SC) and the operating context in heavy aircraft manufacturing with a strong safety culture, requiring overtime, shift patterns, and on-call work.
  • Shift patterns: 3 x 8-hour shifts on site (06:00–10:00, M–F) and a home-based shift starting at 08:00, with a 30-minute break per shift; travel constraints include being within one hour of site for on-call emergencies; lone-working on-site may be required.
  • Technical skills expected: Cisco, Aruba, Arista, F5, cabling, IPv4/IPv6, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, IOS, VPN, routing, firewalls; experience with Google and Microsoft cloud environments; network cabling (copper, fibre, wireless, telephony) is advantageous; pan-European collaboration and knowledge sharing are encouraged.
