Job Description Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our E2E Lending & Working Capital (L&WC) team within the Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Chief Controls Office. BCB serves the financial needs of small and medium-sized businesses, supporting our ability to help Britain prosper. Our strategy focuses on broadening our offerings to new and existing clients, aiming to be the best bank for business.

About The Role

We’re looking for a manager to provide insightful, high-quality analysis and evaluation of the control environment in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Be a subject matter expert to drive the CCO efforts within L&WC.
  • Collaborate with risk and control owner teams to deliver aligned customer, business, and strategic outcomes.
  • Support the design, optimisation, and process mapping of the E2E control environment with control specialist leadership.
  • Use Data and Analytics to continually improve risk and control reporting.
  • Organise and prepare documentation, gather and summarise data to produce standardised risk and control process maps.
  • Assist in managing actions from operational risk events and breaches.
  • Proactively identify issues and suggest improvements to the control environment.
What You’ll Need
  • Experience managing non-financial/financial risk.
  • Knowledge of BCB Lending Products.
  • Technical understanding of business processes and identifying opportunities for control improvements.
  • Background in risk and control roles or experience as a Relationship Manager or in operations.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with data-led control management.
  • Effective presentation skills for senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
  • Quick learner and adaptable to new challenges.
