Job summary

Recognise Bank, a modern business bank serving UK SMEs, is hiring a Lending Support Associate on a 9-month fixed term contract in Milton Keynes. You will assist in onboarding intermediary broker partners, handle lending enquiries, and package lending cases to a high standard.

The role ensures applications are complete, compliant and aligned to the Bank's lending appetite, enabling Lending Managers to progress opportunities efficiently through Credit review, delivering a smooth broker journey.

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education with strong literacy and numeracy.
• Some experience in a customer-focused, administrative or professional environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Degree educated or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Experience within financial services, banking, lending or intermediary distribution.
• Interest in financial services, lending and broker relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding of intermediary broker partners, ensuring documentation and due diligence are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Manage incoming lending enquiries, ensuring opportunities are captured and progressed through agreed processes.
• Review application information to ensure completeness before submission to Lending Managers.
• Package lending cases in line with policy, regulatory requirements and lending appetite.
• Collaborate with Lending Managers to progress applications and maintain momentum.
• Monitor application pipelines and follow up outstanding information to minimise delays.
• Engage with brokers, customers and internal stakeholders to provide timely updates and deliver a positive service experience.
• Escalate risks or exceptions where applications fall outside policy or risk appetite.
• Maintain accurate records and management information within relevant systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and broker experience.
