Job description

We are looking for a Lending Manager to join our Liberty Blume team in London, Kings Cross on a permanent basis. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office.

As a Manager within the Lending division of Blume Financial Solutions (BFS), you will play a pivotal role in driving team growth and delivering on strategic objectives. You will sit within the Commercial & Strategy team, reporting to the Senior Manager overseeing Commercial initiatives.

In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and the broader Blume network to ensure the successful execution of commercial strategies.

What will you be doing?

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of the Lending pillar within Blume Financial Solutions (BFS), working closely with the team lead to support and manage key project workstreams. These include product strategy, technology project management, market research, forecasting, and business plan modelling.
  • Support the execution of the Lending growth strategy through activities such as market analysis and mapping, business planning, credit risk oversight, product and operations management, and the integration of technology systems.
  • Design and implement effective commercial strategies aimed at driving growth and revenue. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives and successful product launches.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities.
  • Track and assess the performance of commercial initiatives, making data-driven adjustments to optimise outcomes.
  • Communicate progress, insights, and results of commercial initiatives to key stakeholders across the business.
  • Contribute to credit risk management, underwriting processes, and product oversight to support strong portfolio performance.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in commercial strategy execution, business development, or a comparable role.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and extract actionable market insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing commercial strategies.
  • Proficient in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in project management and team development, particularly in environments with expanding team scopes and evolving responsibilities.
  • Ability to take ownership of recurring tasks, demonstrating strong attention to detail, initiative, and accountability.
  • Advanced skills in Excel modelling, along with proficiency in PowerPoint for developing and delivering presentations.
  • Background in Corporate Strategy, Sales, Finance, or related fields.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
