Job description

Established in 2013, our client has lent over £2bn of real estate debt across England and Wales. The fund is now owned by a Global Investment Manager with $13bn AUM.

Following an increase in lending appetite and ambition to grow the loan book, a new opportunity has arisen to hire a Lending Director into their Investment Finance team.

The team will consider all asset classes and loans up to £150m across England and Wales. Lending Directors are supported by a team of loan underwriters and credit managers to assist with deal execution.

Reporting to the Head of Real Estate Debt, the role involves fully supporting the origination and execution of investment opportunities for Real Estate Debt.

  • This role involves sourcing new business and building relationships with market counterparties to access a broad pool of new real estate loan opportunities, filtering these to identify prospective lending opportunities to recommend to clients.
  • Taking the transactional lead on all new loan opportunities, including review, preparation and/or oversight of Term Sheets, suitable loan structuring, and liaising with clients.
  • Conducting due diligence, credit and investment assessments, and preparing investment paper submissions to the Private Credit Investment Committee and other governance bodies, presenting to such committees where appropriate.
  • Working as part of the team in negotiating and executing transactions in line with client requirements to obtain the best value.
