To join this apprenticeship, you must successfully complete the NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification).

Personal development includes living GLL’s values, promoting diversity, and engaging in ongoing learning. The apprenticeship lasts approximately 18 months, during which you'll complete:
Attendance at workshops and meetings is required, with ongoing performance assessments. You will have an Apprenticeship Mentor to support your development.
Note: No parking available at this centre.
Centre hours: Mon-Thu 6am-10pm, Fri 6am-7pm, weekends 8am-5pm.
Starting salary: £7.55/hour (£15,704/year). After 6 months, subject to role requirements, wages increase:
Training combines on-site practical experience and social learning, delivered face-to-face or remotely. You will be supported throughout your training and assessment process.
Future prospects include potential progression to Level 3 apprenticeship after completing Level 2.
Requirements and Prospectus
Desired Skills: Competent swimmer, able to pass a swim test, confident in engaging with customers professionally.
Personal Qualities: Friendly, helpful, professional communication, interest in health & fitness, sports coaching experience, self-motivated, deadline-oriented.
