Job summary

Crieff Hydro Limited is seeking a friendly Leisure Centre receptionist at Peebles Hydro Hotel. You will greet guests, handle inquiries face-to-face and over the phone, assist with centre upkeep, and manage payments and memberships.

The role includes responding to emails and engaging with guests on social media. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, good attention to detail, basic IT skills, and a flexible approach to shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

We’re set right at the heart of the Scottish Borders and offer a great place to relax, unwind and magically shut off from the pressures of modern life. We’ve been welcoming guests for well over 100 years but today is home to 132 bedrooms, 3 places to eat, 6 function spaces, leisure club, spa and oodles of outdoor space.

About the role

You will be the welcoming face of our Leisure Centre, engaging with guests face to face and over the phone. Duties will also include assisting with the up keep of the Leisure Centre, helping our guests with any requirements during their stay and general reception duties inlcuding taking payments.

You will be required to track and respond to daily emails, be responsible for membership enquiries and signing up new members and will also be responsible for communications on our social media page.

You will be interested in people and able to talk confidently to them. So, if you're friendly, have a welcoming smile and genuine love for sporting activities, we would love to hear from you!

What we need from you

Previous customer service experience is ideal, but good attention to detail and basic IT skills are essential.

You will work to a fixed rota with hours either in the mornings, evenings or weekends however you will need to be flexible with hours when the demand is required.

You will be able to show us you can handle all situations in a caring and helpful manner.

This is a zero-hours contract position with shift available dependent on business and individual needs.
