Job summary

We are recruiting a Leisure Officer (with NPLQ) at Penwortham Leisure Centre on a temporary contract until June 2027. The role focuses on delivering high-quality community leisure services while ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for every visitor.

It is a full-time position (37 hours per week) with a fixed-term contract ending June 2027. You’ll supervise the pool and facilities, enforce safety policies, and assist Duty Managers with health and safety checks, contributing to a positive

Qualifications

• Holds a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Experience in leisure or pool environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient and professional service to all customers.
• Supervise the pool and leisure facilities to ensure customer safety.
• Monitor customer behaviour and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.
• Respond to emergencies per EAP/PSOP, including first aid and rescue where required.
• Support Duty Managers with health and safety monitoring and checks.
